Has anyone heard this song? I just recently broke up with my girlfriend of many years and Ive been listening to it a lot. Ed's lyrics are just so honest and the way he sings it is really moving. Does anyone else know of any other unreleased solo type stuff like this?
Goodbye:
i've got our love to remember
that will never change
i have you in my head
and no, i'll never hold you
and i'm still asking why
i guess that this is goodbye
my dreams suddenly seem so empty
i could go on my own, but i feel like playin' dead
and for what feels like the first time
i don't know where you are tonight
i guess that this is goodbye
we lived half our lives together
a hundred years is a lot of weight to bear
and the sun, it may be shining
but there's an ocean in my eyes
cause i know that this is goodbye

Those who dance are called insane by those who dont hear the music

The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
Was this written around the time of Merkinball?
This was one of the ukelele songs...along with cant keep, longing to belong, you're true, satellite, and brokenhearted...all brilliant...BUT MY CD PLAYER WONT READ THE CD ITS ON ANYMORE
Enjoy!

"and for what feels like the first time
i don't know where you are tonight"
That line hit me like a ton of bricks, what a horrible feeling it conveys.
I miss you already, I miss you all day
