I kind of regret never seeing them if only for the experience. That looks crazy

    New respect for KISS.

Old news, new to me.(maybe you)
They donated a KISS coffin to Dimebag Darrell to be buried in. He was a huge fan.

    RIP DD (still)

They are worth seeing just for the production. I was a huge fan in the 80s and saw them for the Creatures of the Night tour and the Lick It Up tour. For COTN they had a fucking tank turret on stage that the drums sat on. It would rotate and fire.

They lost me after their Animalize album. Just got too poppy for me. If I would have listened to their albums I probably would have stuck around because their singles were pop crap but they still had some solid stuff.

The last time I saw them was probably 20 years ago. They were on a co-headlining tour with Aerosmith. We actually left during Aerosmith because Kiss just blew them off the stage that night. That seems like blasphemy now.

Not a fan of Animalize (or Lick it up). But Asylum is ”great”.

They look older. The Lick it Up video is not a good look.

Paul lives in my neighborhood....I see him at the local strip mall once in a while.  Gene used to live in the same hood until he moved out of state for tax purposes.

I once had a cool run-in with Gene:  We were backstage at a Foo Fighters show, and he came up to me with one of those 'joke' packs of gum that gives you a slight shock when you pull out a piece.  Knowing of his Jewish roots, I called him a "schmendrick" (yiddish for trouble maker), and we then had a discussion about us both being the sons of Holocaust survivors.  He was a nice enough fella.

^Thanks for the heads up. I’m interested in hearing this, will have to catch it on the replay. I listened/liked the Gene Simmons Bill Maher podcast so I’m sure I’ll enjoy this as well.
