I always thought this was the song that Ed got that little melody from. Does anyone else know this song? I heard it on the radio recently, and I thought about it again.

Yeah. I think it's from the repeated part of this song. At least, the song itself has that phrase and the meaning of the song would be appropriate in this context.

It is from her second album PIRATES released in mid 70's.
Brilliant album, she faded after the first three albums but those three are all classics.

The only Rickie song I remember was the "Chuck is in love" song....interesting though about the "we belong together" tag.....but I thought this tag, was from another song can't remember what song though?

I'm a musician so I am used to hearing phrases that come from other places... a memory for details in sound, etc.,

In this case, the words are significant in noticing the relationship too.

Wow. I had that album and listened to it over and over, many years ago. I never thought of the connection. I think you could be right.
