Twin Peaks landmarks, close to Seattle?

So, I'm looking into pushing some friend to joing me going to Seattle. 
I have one friend who is a big TP fan, and it was shot in Washington. Is Washington a big state, or could one rent a car on the day of the show or the day between the shows and see some of the spots used for filming? Like the waterfall, the hotell etc.

most of the  places for twin peaks are by snoqualmie falls by North Bend. About an Hour or so from Seatlle..  well worth it if you are a TP Fan...  There are other places over the sound on the Olympic Peninsula if you have more time..  but you can knock out the majority Snoqualmie Falls.. FYI.. thats the big waterfall in the opening credit and and the hotel there is the Great Northern in the Twin Peaks series.

Snoqualmie/Fall City/North Bend. is about 30 minutes east of Seattle. You can see the Salish Lodge (Great Northern) and the falls. Tweed's (Double R) is in North Bend. The Roadhouse is in Fall City.

An easy, straight shot heading east on I-90 from Seattle. In North Bend stop in at Tweede's Cafe (known as the Double R Diner on Twin Peaks) for some of their cherry pie. http://www.twedescafe.com/
