GA - What to expect

I have never requested GA for a drawing before, I am going to for the two Chicago shows..  if I hopefully get drawn, what should I expect??
- I don't need to be front & center...  but want a decent spot, how early should I get in line?
- Bathroom...  If I leave do I lose spot?  Or should I rotate with the person I am with?
- Is it complete mayhem when gates open, like people sprinting to get a spot?
Just curious..  I like to have a seat but it's time for me to try out GA.

    Can’t speak of Chicago because i didn’t have GA there, but I’ve never got to a venue more than about an hour before and have always been no further back than about 4-6 from the rail. Now that’s typically off to the side a little on Mikes side. I got second from the rail on stones side getting there about an hour before as well. Never waited in a Ga line and never have pushed my way to the front. Wrigley might be a different animal though so others can chime in.

    Last time at Wrigley I didn' wait in line, chilled with friends at their seats, and only went in close to show. Was right of stone maybe 10-12 rowsish back. 

    Enjoy your day. Waiting in line, to me, is not enjoying

    We did GA in Baltimore, got there about an hour early, went straight to a spot, about 5 rows back center, stayed there no problems. Hubby came and went for beer and bathroom, got back in no problem.

    Got to Wrigley, waited in line for a couple hours, got in, went for a spot, got about 20 rows back. Stayed put, guy in front of me a couple rows was apparently "holding" a spot for approx six more people, no one called him out on it.  Long story short we ended up in the very back because it was too tight for hubby to enjoy, guy in front of him was tall.  What can you do, its GA.  Got to spark one about 3rd base and listen to PJ for the night, I got happy.

    Ive been in GA at various concerts and Wrigley was the biggest I have seen outstanding an entire show being all GA.  I think it's a roll of the dice and night.

    I was in GA in Chicago. Didn't wait in line. Stood near the back on Mike's side towards the back. View was fine for me. No issues going in and out for beers or bathroom. All depends on how deep in you want to get. Even the very back of GA is pretty decent IMO.

    GA also looks a lot crazier and crowded than it is from a distance. Its nothing as it seems

    GA sounds like something really close to paradise, hope I can get some GA for Seattle!
