This happened here in Budapest two years ago. It was filmed on movie premier of Let's Play Two: https://vimeo.com/244896184
So, can't wait to see all of you! :)

Watching now. Sent you a PM too asking a couple of questions about Budapest.
  • Is it easy to get back to city centre after the show in Budapest? Tram or taxi? Anyone booked hotel?
Budapest Sportarena is very close to heart of the city. You can reach it with metro or tram or bus. The public transport is one of the best in Europe. The venue is totally rebuilt several years ago on same place where PJ played in 1996. (The old one burned down.) It's modern and comfortable. The beer is cheap, the sound is great. The biggest bands played there like Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kiss, etc. It will be more than OK for Pearl Jam and all of us. So, you can imagine how we are waiting for the show in here. I feel this will be one of the greatest PJ show in the band's history. Don't miss it! :)
2 dream places I have in Europe to see pj. One is Budapest and it's happening
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

Only one city in the list where I have never been...Krakow. Must be a sign!

  • We are doing Budapest for sure.  As for the rest well we will have to see how it shakes out. Krakow was awesome in 2018 but we did the salt mine and Auschwitz/Birkenau and Old Town.  It’s a bitch to get back to Old Town from Tauron Arena, we were the last two people until a lovely Polish girl from Poznan stopped to share her cab with us! Lol

Want to do Copenhagen but the dates are probably too far apart (unless I use 3’weeks vacation this time).  Not interested in festivals although I thought I read Imola was a pseudo-festival of some kind.

Zurich would be awesome, never been to Switzerland.   London either... lol.  Been easy decisions the last two times we travelled to see PJ in Europe. The rumoured dates on here are going to make it a little tougher in 2020 I think.

  • I have really enjoyed following along this thread the past month. Each nugget would spark a fire in me. While bummed I can't pull off Budapest (and Krakow again, such a beautiful city and wonderful people), we are hitting Imola and Vienna. Family in tow for this vacation and Italy was a draw.  Flights booked from Bologna to Vienna this morning. Now to figure out how to get back to Bologna from Imola post concert. 1st World problems.

I’ve been to Berlin twice (in November both times) and Krakow and Budapest in the summer (Krakow in 2018 for PJ and Budapest this past July). You can’t go wrong with either of these. Just keep in mind that Europe has crazy heat waves the last few summers. It was like 90 when I went to Krakow and 97 when I was in Budapest. I despise the heat and sun so it made the trips a bit uncomfortable (though didn’t ruin the trip in any way). I always tell people I won’t do Europe in the summer ever again because of the heat... unless it’s for PJ lol.

But yeah the location of the early shows a bit further north is appealing to me for this reason since it’ll be slightly cooler.

    Berlin
    Zurich
    Amsterdam (x2??)
Hotels booked, flights to Berlin booked (taken a punt on non-refundable flights for 25th June as flight prices from England are starting to increase massively)
Now only need an official announcement and then work out the priority order for the 10C ticket lottery!!

I don't know if someone mentioned it already, but the Krakow to Budapest direct flight has already gone up in price... sometimes they do that even when people are looking at certain dates too much. They see that there is demand, so the prices are jacked up.
btw, you can take a bus for about 15 euros, but it takes 7-8 hours. Train is even slower.

Ya stop refreshing that one! Start looking at July 13th and the 14th still shows up. That will fool them!
  • I’m predicting August 8th and 10th for Wrigley. Only time the Cubs are out of town long enough for them to do their Saturday and Monday show like they have done in the past
  • Hope I get Ten Club GA tickets for the Amsterdam shows.

Looking at booking a hotel in Budapest next to Blaha Lujza tér metro station. Couple of stops to the venue and seems pretty decent area otherwise. Any opinions?

Not sure about that area but I booked the Green hotel which is a 5-minute walk from the venue and plenty of options to get into town with transport by the looks of it. We booked one night on the Pest side near the water and the other near the venue.
  • At the moment I'm planning to do at least Krakow and Budapest. Also thinking of adding an extra show, perhaps Copenhagen. This is my first time with 10c tickets (if I'm lucky enough to win the lottery). So the question is, if I don't have a ticket buddy, how easy it is to sell a 10c ticket?

If you get a spare Budapest ticket let me know please!

You should be fine, the shows you want to see should have fairly high demand for 10c tickets.

Same here, I'd grab that extra if you get it and I don't. I'm aiming for those same two shows, or might keep it simple and aim for the Amsterdam ones...Not a bad place to spend three days, and much less travel hassle for me to get.

Good morning! Dear Polish friends, I have a question. Ryanair will cancel the Hamburg-Krakow connection so I looked for alternatives (before I take the train). LOT flies via Warszawa but transit time is only 35 minutes. Any idea if that is even doable?
Warsaw airport is not that big, should be OK, but can't promise anything. In case of delay you have direct local train to Warsaw Central Station (trains) and it's approx 2,5h train ride to Kraków :)
