Very sad news.......The band had to cancel their tour last year due to her back problems.

    46 is so damn young!

she was diagnosed as bi polar last  year. she also had debilitating back issues. so it could be an offshoot of either one of those, or maybe not. i'm sure we'll know soon enough.

  • So very sad.  They had so many good singles and albums...Probably listen to Empty like 20 times today.

So sad, I love her voice.
I just wish a year could pass by without the loss of a piece of musical history.

What a voice. Deaths like these make your teen years seem that much further away.

Was just blasting Salvation in the car on Saturday.

This is all too true. Another talented musician lost too soon. I remember being at 6th Form college around 92-94 and Cranberries bringing out some great music. I forget where I saw them live, a festival most likely. So young.

Saw them in 1995 - soundtracked a few high school breakups. RIP.

And so you see, I have come to doubt

Spot on with your first two sentences.

Saw the cranberries back in 94/95 and thought they were incredible live. Rip

I didn't realize she was only 46.  Thought she was probably in her early 50's.  Started out young.  Had a mini crush on her back in the day.

Ive never been a huge fan of female singers, I often find it hard to connect in the same way but Dolores had a voice like no other. A beautiful voice which would send shivers down my spine every time and the songs instantly transport me back to my teenage years in the 90s. Anyone else who was a teenager back then will know what I mean. The music you listened to as a teenager stays with you forever.

She could really use her voice like an instrument. I dont know a good way to describe it.  Sounded cool
