*** NOEL GALLAGHER ***

New album out. His third since Oasis.

The first single is really great:

Also love this song:

"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"

NOEL GALLAGHERS THREE SOLO ALBUMS ARE SO DAMN SOLID.

Great songwriter. Just great. Easy songwriting but with nice wording and hooks.

I'm a big fan. Been fortunate enough to see him three times (and Oasis three more). Great shows all round.
It may seem a bit cliche but "Don't Look Back In Anger" is one of the greatest songs one can witness in a live setting.

I think you misspelled Slide Away
    Who? Me?
"Slide Away" is a fantastic song and may very well be favourite song by Oasis. For me, however, it is imperative that Liam sings it. It's lacking something in Noel's acoustic renditions.

I think Noel is really great at making the Oasis songs into Noel songs, without stepping on Oasis-toes.

Compared to LIam playing them like Oasis. Good or bad.

Really disappointed in the song and the fact that he's decided to go the single/EP route now too as opposed to albums. Give me more "Dead in the Water" kind of goodness.

  • Just now listening to Liam's live album from last year. He sounds pretty good considering what he said about his neck and vocal cords in their doco. I mean, the Eagles did it, and had some pretty toxic stuff in their band, why not reunite Oasis?

Zeppelin will reunite (again) before Oasis does
  • I am looking forward to this, out this Friday the 30th. Noel is on three tracks.

If the Greatest Hits doesn't fuel an Oasis reunion even further, I'll eat my hat.

10 years solo = Hits Vol. 1 --> Band reunion tour...(2 years or so) --> Decade #2 of solo work.

the panel also would have accepted a Soundgarden reunion before Oasis.

Because Noel doesn't need a reunion.

I dont think either of them really want a reunion unless they truly miss playing music with eachother.   Liam’s album went #1.  They both still get listed really high on festival bills as solo artists.  A reunited Oasis probably isn't selling out American arenas.  Maybe in Europe?

Liam wants one, but Liam just wants attention.

I think a reunited Oasis would sell out small arenas in larger markets

Chi, NY, LA, Houston, SF, SEA, Bos, Toronto. But they were large theaters at the end, so any leg 2 or mid market touring, they'll play those large theaters.

But also, I don't see a reunited Oasis doing a US tour that last longer than 3 weeks. So probably those cities and 4-5 more across US/CA.
