2017 is going down as my best concert year ever. Was fortunate to see a bunch of shows in a bunch of places. Several highlights were catching my first PJ-related pick at Mike's FTM show and then the next night with my beautiful wife soaking in U2 play one of my al-time favorite albums and, lo and behold, Ed makes a guest appearance; a last second trip to see Tom Petty at Wrigley Field and standing in the outfield of Wrigley Field with a good buddy wearing ponchos drinking beer in the rain and singing "Free Fallin' along with Tom....still can't believe he's gone :heartbreak: ; outlasting the KY sun and standing second row for Ed at Bourbon; sitting front row for John Prine and John Moreland (check out Moreland if you aren't familiar w/ him....incredible artist); and finally getting to see live an incarnation of The Grateful Dead last week in ATL. My hands-down highlight for the year, tho, was an coming-of-age trip to NYC with my son Miles and together getting to see Pearl Jam get inducted into the HoF :sunglasses::smile: That experience and trip in general with him will forever be top of the mountain kind of memories.

Tedeschi Trucks Band -- 3/4 Nashville
Rock HOF Induction Ceremony -- 4/7 NYC
Flight to Mars -- 5/13 Seattle
    U2/Mumford & Sons -- 5/14 Seattle
    Tom Petty/Chris Stapleton -- 6/28 Chicago
The Magpie Salute -- 8/18 Atlanta
Tedeschi Trucks Band -- 9/15 Birmingham
    Bourbon & Beyond Festival -- 9/23 Louisville
The Pilgrimage Festival -- 9/24 Franklin, TN
The Head and The Heart/The Shelters -- 10/4 Birmingham
    Wilco -- 10/7 Birmingham
    John Prine/John Moreland -- 11/18 Birmingham
    Dead & Company -- 11/29 Atlanta
The War On Drugs --12/17 Birmingham

New wife + new house = not many concerts in 2017. Might be some that I'm forgetting:

    Hairball
    Bon Jovi
    Northern Invasion festival
Everclear / Fastball / Vertical Horizon
    Bush / Pop Evil
    Foo Fighters / Struts
    Josh Todd & The Conflict

    Have tickets for:

    Soul Asylum @ First Avenue
    DMB "The Night Before"
    Weird Al

    Thinking about:

Norhtern Invasion 2018 (lineup releases on 12/11)
    Fozzy cruise
Hopefully Pearl Jam plays close by!
  • Unfortunately zero. Life just doesn't have much room for concert going at the moment.
