Nugs told me that silver-pressed are sold out0

How the fuck were you supposed to know silver pressed existed?"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

No shit! I ordered mine on Saturday morning."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0

I ordered both shows on CD as soon as the newsletter was sent out and showed up in the shop. My order just says warehouse and no update. Didn’t know there are silver pressed or not. Probably should have just bought the downloads instead.0

I love your message, but I (like so many people) feel like it's my responsibility to help with a very common misspell of the word "definitely." When most people read your message, they read it as "Night 2 uncooperatively kicked ass" or "...resistantly kicked ass" and it doesn't make sense. Now, the interesting thing is, "defiantly" is a word, so when it's misused we read it as it's typed, and the sentence in which it's used gets thrown for a curve ball. Ok, I'm starting to beat a dead horse lol.

Back to the boots - Definitely picking these up!
Thank you. Hopefully after this I will know how to spell my words correctly on the go, as well as having a definition. Something like:
1) Pretentious - attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.
I have welcomed this with open arms. Thank you again.

My understanding is the silver CDs hold up longer over time. Sound wise, there would be no difference.DJ253147 said:Can I please ask what the deal is about silver pressed CD's please. Thanks in advance.0 -
Yah, the dye inside burn discs doesn't last as long as silver pressed cd's. Plus everyone can burn cd's, so buying a professional cd, and having it burned. It makes it feel a little do it at home like....WhatYouTaughtMe said:

Burnt dics are what you do at home."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -
Wait, so if I order the CD's now, they are basically just cheap burned discs, nothing more? Is the sound going to be any better than an .mp3 to someone who's not an audiophile?Zod said:

Why release the CD's at all in anything but professional quality?0
-
It costs more to press cd's than to burn them. Burning is more cost effective when dealing with smaller quantities. Plus it allows them to burn on demand. they don't have to order 5000 more and hope they sell them. someone orders 1 more, they can make it on the fly.iOnlyownMymind said:Why release the CD's at all in anything but professional quality?

mp3 is compressed (aka Lossy). CD's (burned or pressed) would be the equivelent of buying the FLAC (which is lossess)iOnlyownMymind said:

You're making some confusion here.. in the case of silver pressed vs burned to order discs what's affected is not the sound quality per se, in fact it's the same (and better than mp3's of course). The thing is: silver pressed discs will be much more durature and you'll not have to worry about the discs being unreadable after some years.. that is not to say your burned to order disc will turn to shit after few years (unless you treat it with no care at all), but they will be much more sensitive to scuffs, sunlight, etc..iOnlyownMymind said:
