Blind Melon Soup

Please excuse the non-Pearl Jam related content.
I wanted to share an interesting story that happened today. 10/21/17

I had a few dozen albums I wanted to sell today in exchange for some new music, so I went down to Lunch Box Records.

As Scott was pricing my exchange I walked around  the store and stumbled on the Blind Melon reissue of Soup.

I haven't been keeping up with vinyl reissues or new releases lately because of some financial reasons... and I wasn't aware Soup had been reissued.

Scott gave me $80 for my exchange, I picked up Soup and a few other albums for "free".

To stumble on the reissue, today... of all days... is a little strange.

It's strange because Hoon died on the 21st of October, yesterday... the day I "discovered" Soup had been reissued.

Incredible album / one of my faves. I'm lucky enough to have an original pressing but have been meaning to pickup the re-release too.  Thanks for sharing the story.

Soup is one of the best albums of the 90s and severely underrated. Songs like "Vernie" and "Lemonade" are classics!

I tend to listen to Soup and Nico at least once per month. It's absolutely killer.
