How could this song not be here already?! I thought there was a thread for it?! it is time we bring this beautiful song out here to this forum!! It has NOT been discussed about it since I think 2003, would you believe?! I don't know if it was me or someone else who did a thread about this song, but we SO need it now.

I decided this will be my last post for tonight, and leave you w/this song, written by the duck man himself, Mr. STONE CARPENTER GOSSARD!! :cool:

This song reminds me of a friend of mine, which I know those lyrics ring true to him, to me at least:)

    I forget how AMAZING this song is, when I listened to Yield, it just made me want to make a thread for this song b/c it TRULY deserves it and PJ needs to play it again:)

    No Way is great, but I have a feeling they don't play it as it seemed more like a spontaneous song that for some odd reason was good enough to put on the albumn, something that they may have done in one sitting and then that was that. An Aye davanita deal, maybe? Anyway, I would love to hear it live, but I don't see it happening. It has a great groove to it, a good back and forth pull.

    I was making a CD of some of my favorite PJ songs yesterday (for my son's gf-we went to the Cincy show together)-this song was on it-love everything about it.

    No Way is one of my all-time favorites as well, but I have a theory why they don't play it live. Maybe it's because the chorus kind of runs counter to what PJ is all about: "Cause I'll stop trying to make a difference..." PJ is all about trying to make a difference. I always thought it was written as a sarcastic response to the criticisms they get for always singing about political issues.
    But then of course he says, "No Way,". But does that mean he's being sarcastic, like he'll never stop trying, or does it mean "no way, I'm never going to make a difference, no matter what, so screw everything." You can read it either way. I just blew all your minds, I know, thank me later.
    Change don't come at once, it's a wave, building before it breaks.
