This album is fantastic. Such a robust sound and typical great songwriting.

Album is growing on me. I really enjoyed the songs live, and had the opportunity to see Glen in three different types of venues/settings in NYC recently. Solo at Town Hall (small seated theatre), full band at Brooklyn Steel (GA), and a short set right up close at Rough Trade (record store w/ venue). Glen is like PJ in that way--you can see him over and over again, and it's always going to be special and different.

I really like most everything he does, which I can't say for many artists. Glen is truly an amazing musician!

    Where are you sitting tonight?

We were terrace level on saturday and the very last row in the balcony on sunday. The largo show and sat were almost the same set, which makes sence since largo was basically a warm up gig. Sunday was mesmerising, spent most of that first set with goosebumps running up my arms. Hope they recorded it.

Man, he put it down in Chicago last night! This guy just continues to impress time and again. Got in line a half hour before doors opened and was in the 2nd row GA. Such a great time! Even a shout out to Eddie.

my girlfriend was a big Swell Season fan before I met her. We started dating in December of 2008. I remember not caring for the Swell Season so much but I enjoyed the solo Glen stuff. I remember telling her that I thought he would be much more successful without Marketa. I think that annoyed her some at the time. Shortly thereafter, is when he and Eddie started touring together. Now, I think she agrees with me.

Seeing him again Friday Night in Boston. Will be my second time seeing Glen headline after hearing him open for Eddie a few times before that. He has never disappointed!

Haha! The pianists look in this photo is straight from a horror movie! Like, I looked so now I will die next.

Not pictured, is the 2nd violinist...she is beautiful! Not relevant to some I suppose, but it was pleasant in row 2 on the left in Chicago.

And the show itself is so lively and exciting. I really enjoy getting to hear many of the big band instruments as well. It's nice that Glen is willing to work in a part for all the band mates at some point.

I expected the show to be good, but I was not prepared for what Glen and the band unleashed that night. They completely shattered my expectations.

    World class performance.

To hear Glen sing Grace Beneath The Pines on the edge of the stage with no amplification is a thing of beauty!!!
I loved the "Trumped-Up"  lyrics he added to the Woody Guthrie / Vigilante Man cover too.

Did he explain about being shown original Woody Guthrie lyrics to that song, and also that Donald Trump's father was Guthrie's landlord/slumlord for a time?  He intro'd the song that way in NYC at Town Hall and Brooklyn Steel.  Amazing!
