I'm not really hearing a difference with the "remastered" compared to the original. But definitely enjoying cranking up the live "Castaic Lake Natural Amphitheater 7/2/93"  To bad they took out Dead & Blooded and Creep from this show... Need to give the "Reading, England" show a few more plays... Stoked to finally have a proper Unplugged....

I just want the 2 disc version, and I"ll buy the rest on itunes. But where the fuck does a guy go to buy a new cd now? With HMV bankrupt and gone, Best Buy only stocks limited, if any, new cd's. Brutal.
Amazon is my go to. I've been replacing old discs from the 90s around $10 a piece new. Still have 2 stores with huge new and used CDs available in town too.
yeah, I know, I just miss going cd shopping.
Amen to that brother... I miss that shit as well. When I was living in the Bay Area I would go to Rasputin and just spend a couple hours there on the weekend going through the CD's, and some random vinyl. Loved it man.... It's just a great musical experience....

  • Watching Alive in the Windy City right now with a Crown in hand. Man, I really wish STP would have pkayed some deep cuts once in a while. Theur live show, while awesome and high energy, was just a greatest hits package. Wish more bands would realize the potential payoff of pkaying a rarity now and again.
new album "Cigarettes" out Spring 2025!

I can't tell much of a difference either. Maybe slightly reduced cymbal crash and noise in the mix, but almost impossible to notice.

Really enjoy the Sex Type Thing swing version. Never heard that before. Awesome way to switch up that song. Plush acoustic has always been a perfect song. Love the multiple versions on the deluxe release. Only really ever heard the one from MTV unplugged. Now there are 3 of them!

Early performance of Lounge Fly from Reading and extended Where the River Flows from Castaic Lake are awesome too.

Wow yeah great to hear the unplugged set in good quality. That Crackerman is fantastic. Was blaring the early Lounge Fly in the car the other day and it was fantastic.

Did anyone else notice the Piece of Pie (Scott Demo) hidden track on disc 2?

Great album. This is really when they separated themselves from any comparisons to PJ or anyone else. Every song is thoughtful and breathes.
Not sure I can justify $90 though for a deluxe version. Maybe half that id pull the trigger.
Seven Caged Tigers is one of their best songs.
