I wish they would confirm Spain/Portugal shows already, flight are extremely cheap right now from US
These are cheap? I'm hoping they drop a bit more.
Less than $700 roundtrip is very cheap in the summer
I haven't checked in a few days, the last time i did they were almost $1000 round trip. Good to know they have dropped, thanks!
Prices change all the time it is crazy. Also have an Aeroplan credit card. Over the last year we have accumulated 110,000 miles. I priced booking a flight from Halifax to Amsterdam and it was 65,000 miles. I thought that was just ok but the kicker was I had to pay $670 in taxes on top of that. What a load of shit. I priced flighthub.com with out using miles and I have seen the price as low as $704 and it is a quicker flight. Aeroplan wants me to wait a full day in Toronto lol.

Canadian air reward programs are really designed to save you on short haul flights. Trust me, I know it sucks. Save those miles for NYC, Boston, Chicago, etc.
As you stated - taxes aren't covered with most plans. there's a few credit cards that let you pay taxes in miles, but the fee (at least mine) is $300 annually.

I am looking into what the best reward cards there are out there right now. Looks like Scotiabank American Express and BMO World Elite are two of the best. We have our mortgage with Scotiabank so may just go with them now.

Not to get too far off topic, but the card you seek is the SPG Amex (Canadian or American). SPG points transfer with 20% bonus to many major airlines or you can just use them at Starwood or Marriott. The taxes on Aeroplan flights makes them almost useless.
Dave Grohl Is curating cal jam 2018....a headlining spot there would fit with the fall north American tour rumors
That's what I originally thought, but I'm sure Foo Fighters will headline it again. I mentioned it here a few weeks ago, but no one seemed to think that PJ would play it if they weren't the headliner.

If the Wrigley rumours are true that would be really odd for them to play the rumoured September 20th weekend at Fenway wouldn't it? Unless they are doing one park show a month. July/Wrigley August/Safeco September /Fenway. Man it is going to be impossible picking vacation this year.
My Wrigley source keeps hearing 7/27, 7/28 at the old ballpark
Woooo!!!!
does not compute game the 26th- day game ok, but that means earliest they can set the stage up is like 8pm.. 4 concerts in a row, maybe thats not an issue for wrigley but i dont see pj booking two stadium shows back to back with no window for weather, and seems like they like that break anyway
I’m shocked we don’t really have any inside info on thre US tour. Do we even know if it’s west coast or east coast at this point? Or somewhere in between?

What exactly is surprising about this? If there aren’t shows until Oct/Nov for US arenas, the tour probably won’t be announced til either right before Europe, or shortly after (June or July). Rumours of holds probably won’t start up until spring 2018.

Was just looking ahead to Safeco Possible Dates - No Mariner games
Looking like the guys will be over in Europe until late July. This limits the possible Safeco weekends in Seattle to The weekends of Aug 11, Aug 25, (Sept 1 Foo Fighters) Sept 15, or Sept 22.
I don't think it will be after the summer is over, so Aug 11 or 25th seems the most realistic, unless they share the stage setup with the Foos over the Labor Day weekend of Sept 1.
I’m shocked we don’t really have any inside info on thre US tour. Do we even know if it’s west coast or east coast at this point? Or somewhere in between?
Considering the 2016 tour, only 2 shows on the west side of the Mississippi were festival shows, I would guess that they are going to head west, but I wouldn't doubt a fair share of East coast dates towards the fall...especially if there is an album release.
6/26/98 & 6/27/98 - Alpine Valley, 10/9/00 - Allstate Arena - Rosemont, IL 6/18/2003 - United Center, 5/16/2006 - United Center, 5/17/2006 - United Center (7th row center, caught Eddie's pick), 6/29/2006 - Summerfest with Tom Petty, 8/24/2009 - United Center, 7/19/2013 - Wrigley Field, 10/3/2014 - St Louis, 10/17/2014 - Moline (GA), 10/20/2014 - Milwaukee, 5/14/2015 - Pete Townshend/EV, 8/20/16 & 8/22/16 Wrigley Field Part 2&3, 8/18/18 & 8/20/18 Wrigley Parts 4 & 5, 9/18/2022 - St Louis

Good point, i guess it is a year Away. I guess i was also thinking there were some grumbling about a potential spring show. Hawaii or whatever. Probably just wishful thinking on my part

From what I understand, Wrigley requires an entire day for field prep and stage setup. That means no concert on the 27th.
