my2hands said:I think it comes down to population numbers...
47% of the USA lives in the Eastern Time Zone (with a lot of it jammed into the northeast)
29% in Central Time Zone
16% in Pacific Time Zone
6% in Mountain Time Zone
This explains the "East Coast Bias"... it's where everyone lives, so they tour here more
And Chicago is a massive Metropolis with a huge population... coupled with Ed's connection to the area... it's understandable why they play there so often in larger venues/events
East Coast also has Europe and (somewhat) South Americw.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -
Here’s the thing though. If you want to go to one show at one of the cities and you don’t care which show, you pick the least popular show as your first pick and you should get it.0

I’m happy to pay as its worth every penny, but why do you think the steeper prices? 2013 - 2016 was quite a bit more affordable for tickets. Not conplaining! Just curious
Steeper prices? Fans here must know what other major acts charge for prime concert seats?
Well....if I were smart enough to sign up 26 years ago, and could score tenth row, year after year, city after city, I'd probably just stick with the one band as well!
U2s upcoming msg shows, $300 w fees, for upper level nose bleeds. No joke.
Edit: I just checked. I was wrong.
$331 PLUS FEES. Upper level 5 rows from top.
PJ charged $85 + SC for every msg seat in 16 if I recall correctly. They do a great job keeping prices low, but with their "system" - low tensee numbers stockpiled tix , driving up resale prices to U2 land.
If that's where prices end up anyway for the very popular bands, seems fairer if the band gets that $Post edited by Lerxst1992 on0 -

"u2 sucks" is a matter of personal opinion and that doesn't mean you are even close to being right

Man, I love U2, especially their older stuff. Different strokes for different folks I guess.0

I’ve seen U2 on the last two tours and been fortunate to have VIP seats both times. I’ll also be seeing them in June at MSG with VIP tix again and I’m psyched because they’ve never been less than spectacular.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh0

I like some older U2... but generally speaking, everything I've heard in the 21st century has been not that good0
