How can that be? You mean the show in July of 2013? The capacity of Safeco is around 48,000 and the field was full. I was there and it was totally packed (other than the outfield seats behind the stage). Seattle Weekly said 45,000 attended which would make sense (less rear outfield seats plus on-field seating).timdwilli said:

Oh wow. Thanks for clarification. I must have misunderstood what I read about seating capacity. I understood it to be much smaller. That definitely alleviates some stress. Thanks.PJNB said:
There are like 35,000 seats including the field. There will be plenty of tickets for those that put it as a first and second priority especially if it is in the same draw as Safeco.jmug23 said:
I think the date will probably hold, but may not hear by tomorrow. Who knows though. I can’t really see flights being an issue to get, so I’m waiting until I actually get tickets. I’m thinking this show will be very hard to get tickets for.MNbetterman said:Flight to Missoula on a 24 hour hold, hotel booked. Was a great show in 2012 and the town has a great vibe! They're talking about the McCartney show in Missoula, MT. Not his show at Safeco Field.0 -
That's what I think. Plus, this is their first time doing a show in the summer since the 90s. Maybe since the 1998 Yield Tour? All the Seattle shows after that have been in the fall or dead of winter. Add to the fact there will be traveling fans in the middle of travel season, I think it will sell out just as quickly as the others.tylermoore said:
Wouldn't Seattle too?my2hands said:I think they do Seattle completely separate... Wrigley/Fenway will sell out in minutes
First show in 5yrs. Only west coast shows this year. Why wouldn't they sell out fast.SEA 9/20/92, SEA 12/7/93, SEA 12/31/94 (MS), SEA 11/5/00, SEA 11/6/00, SEA 12/8/02, SEA 12/9/02, BEN 10/22/03, GOR 9/1/05, SD 7/7/06, LA 7/10/06, LA 7/12/06, LA (EV) 4/12/08, LA (EV) 4/13/08, LA 7/12/08, LA 9/30/09, LA 10/7/09, SEA 12/6/13, SEA 8/8/180 -
Wow, hotel rates in Boston are insane. Looks like AirBNB may be better0

I was joking, but anyone who complained just got their rate raised $15.I'm like an opening band for your mom.0

i really hope this doesn't become a trend and we still get proper arena tours. Not everyone can afford to travel across the country for these destination shows. I'd love to make it to the Seattle shows but it's just not in the cards for me this year. And my brother lives there so I'd have free lodging.High Fidelity 2000 said:Jesus Christ hotels in Seattle with "group rate" discounts are insane. I'm at a point now where I don't even think about hotels. It's airbnb every time, all the time.
Much like Uber vs cabs? When's the last time anyone took a cab (if Uber is available?)

Probably want to give the Seattle event a few days to be in the spotlight. Hopefully get the remainder of the dates within the next few days.darwinstheory said:Looks like no update today.0 -
I'm thinking tomorrow is the day for the rest of the shows to be announced. Then have lottery signups starting tomorrow and run through monday at noon. But thats just a guess."I got memories, I got shit"0

I'm guessing Friday is the rest of the dates, with ticket info and pre-sale through next week....got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0

They announced lotto winners Feb 8th for Wrigley/Fenway for 2016 for what it's worth. Chicago shows were 8/20 & 8/22, Fenway was 8/5 & 8/70
