Guys i know this is a while after the show, but my sisters and i were talking about the pearl jam show today again and how awesome the experience was seeing them and meeting the people we hung out with all day. The only reason why we went was to see ed and the guys and we met some awesome people along the way and were just checkin up with them since we forgot to get their emails. It was a few people from chicago (shane, mike, sarah), father and son (kevin and pete), and a guy from detroit and canada. We wanted to say it was an awesome experience to spend our first pearl jam show with you all and we were checking in.

I don't remember who all I met there, but it was some really cool people. I can say that we all got real close though, smushed together for about five hours waiting to get into the middle area for PJ. Everyone around was cool except for one chick who tried to cut in the middle of us and her douche bag boyfriend. The security didn't even want to do anything about her pushing her way past people to get to the front. Finally the crowd had enough, and after a few close calls (including my wife almost beating her down) they finally decided to leave. After that it really felt like family there. Really great times.

  • ha yeah from about 5 or 6 o clock on was shoulder to shoulder but it sure was awesome when eddie came out on stage with jack johnson and sang (eventhough we had to try to somehow see the big screen from the side view ha) and getting in the pit was definately a relief and i know an overwhelming sense of excitement, joy, and nerves rushed trough my body. awesome night and cant wait to see them again. I also read you post about your experience and good see hear your dad is doing a lot better and i could only imagine what it was like hearing release right after midnight on father's day. happy holidays and merry christmas

Thanks. At the time it was a night of many emotions, but looking back I don't have anything but magical memories of it.

That was a great time...I waited all day on Mike's side (I think I was the 7th person in line)....I remember the douche bag and his girlfriend trying to cut the line after JJ's set...I was seriously gonna kick his ass. For some reason I became security of the libe that day and the cutters were behind me (couldn't let them cut my fellow jammers). But, all in all, I met some really cool people waiting all day in the sun 8-)
