You know I was for many years a Republican. Mostly due to fiscal issues and 1 social one. For a number of years in my early 20’s I was a straight party voter. Started to get tired of the repubs move towards the religious right and started not being a straight party voter. But had 1 major social issue that kept me voting for republicans as well as some fiscal ones. Now i almost exclusively vote for Dems. I did vote for someone running as a R in a local election in 2016. I also did vote for Mitt over Obama in the 2nd term, knew it wouldn’t matter though. And I was worried if Mitt didn’t win the R would move further to the right.Halifax2TheMax said:

The reality is there are a lot of reason and a lot of issues to be working on. We do need to solve our immigration issue. We do need a country that has parents there for their kids. Those are important issues. But the 1st step to stop the gun massacres is gun control. I’m honestly for a complete ban. But I also understand their are other points of views and I’d be willing to compromise. Take steps and stop taking steps once the issue is solved.
The R’s are using immigration (a real issue) to drive votes. They don’t have much else left. Other than the gun votes so they ignore gun control when a shooting happens and blame it on other things that they also ignore cause they don’t fix problems they only yell about them to win elections. The R party is a major problem. And it sucks that there is basically only 1 party left for me to choose from because they have some bad policy ideas in my opinion. But I think most of their hadn’t policy ideas just end up costing me $. I’m tired of the R bad policy ideas causing death and fear for me and my family.
No lie, whenever I go to a movie theater and they have the announcement about exits, I don’t think of fires anymore, just firearms and what I would do and where I would go. It’s sad. And it’s sad that we continue to do nothing. I sure hope the Dems nominate a candidate that can beat trump.
