Can't believe it's been 25 years since that video came out.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Whenever I read about something like this, the runaway thought in my head is always, "man, that seems like someone I wish I would have had the chance to know."  It makes me sad and yet hopeful that through this music we love, more special connections will come and although the closer the person the harder the loss, maybe with each tour, with each shared experience, with each opportunity to meet new people, I'll have to have one less runaway thought...

what a great story, thanks for the post. I had no idea he died. It is interesting to me how similar his attitude regarding the world, fame, life, align with the band and its story. Speaking of Jeremy, it reminded me of the Dallas 13 show. That is my favorite version of the song, perhaps not musically, but the intro, and the addition of "sing it, he was just a kid!" at the end gives me chills. Just an emotional take on that song.
It's amazing what you hear when you take time to listen.

That MTV Awards video montage is SUCH a TIME CAPSULE!!!  Crazy seeing the graphics, stars, other bands nominated (I haven't thought about Helmet or that bad Aerosmith song Living on the Edge in decades!).

The story is a great one and such a sad ending.  Trevor sounds like an amazing man, he handled his more than 15 min of fame in one of the healthiest ways I've ever heard: he turned away from it.  Smart kid.  Sorry he didn't get to Myanmar or wherever it was he was excited to go to next.

On another related note, the one time I almost drowned myself, it was in Puerto Rico.  Those tides and riptides are no joke.
