I remember going to a birthday party, probably around age 10. I saw Pizza Hut boxes and got stoked. Then they opened them to reveal hand tossed pizzas. I was way more disappointed than any 10 year old should ever be over Pizza.

I would bet that 75% of the people that order hand tossed do so either by mistake, or because they just don’t know that it’s not what they’re known for.

pizza hut was fun every so often as a kid, good salad bar w/ bread sticks

I also like when the NCAA tourney was near, they had cool promos of Balls & mini garbage hoops & stuff

I would rather not eat than eat a piece of the hand tossed.  It was really bad.

One pepperoni tavern style and one with rotisserie chicken, lardons (like thick chunks of bacon), and long hot relish. Both pretty delicious.

Successful Ooni night over the weekend. Sauce was off by a smidge though. I think not enough garlic. The pies themselves were great though. And this Pizza Hut talk inspired me put a little garlic sauce on the crust (except the first one).

Who's got the best pizza around the Madison Square Garden area?  Headed up next weekend for the show.  Never been to NYC before. Looking forward to trying some authentic NY style pizza.

Not the right neighborhood for pizza. Lots of opinions on NYC Pizza. How much time do you have in NYC? NY Pizza Supremo is highly rated but I have never had it.

John’s Pizzeria in the Village is amazing. But it’s not close to MSG.

Exactly and you may have to wait for an hour or more. But it is good.

If you have time I always prefer the classics. Johns of Bleeker street,  Arturo's on W. Houston and Angelos coal oven on 57th. Never went to Grimaldis, Prince Street or Keste. Lucali is outstanding but too much of hassle to get in last time I tried. I am not a fan of Artichoke's heavy style, but it is near the high line and is a good place to grab a slice if you are walking the high line (recommended if the weather is nice). Do a little yelping as there seems to be a new pizza place opening all the time.  Skip the 99 cents slice joints, for the most part they are not good.
  • Stay off of anything on 7th ave if you want edible pizza.  You'll have to walk a bit to get something good.
  • You know what?  Go into penn and up by the NJT area and walk to where all the food places are at.  There is a pizza place in there that's not bad.  I don't recall the name but It's on the right side down a bit if you just came from 7th.

It's worth it and you don't have to wander far.
