  • Yes please! Especially if they do more tours with "a night with Pearl Jam." They could always bring a quartet (or more) to perform in the second set or on and off a couple times throughout the night. And now that they all (especially Mike, Matt, and Ed) used to performing and I'm sure helping with arrangements it could turn out  really well and some of the "jams" could be super awesome...
    So count me in!

That Metallica album was incredible when it was released. Had never heard anything like it before. We put the Sonic Evolution vinyl on shortly after Chris's death and were blown away by it. I would be all over this.

Not a fan.  Approaching jumping the shark territory at that point.  Wake me up when they plug in and start playing some rock and roll.

Yeah no. The strings durig the 2010 tour were pretty bad. Two or three songs I can stomach but no more.

    No thanks.

I would take a couple shows with a large string section. Like a Mad Season Symphony meets Benaroya.

Speaking of the quartet, Parting Ways is begging to be played by them! How great would that be if they opened up Taormina with that?

My first choice would be a "back to their roots" rock tour in Canada. But, I'd definitely be up for the rock opera idea.

This would be cool to do as a one off at a venue like Benny hall or the Beacon theater. I loved when Metallica did this.

Enough covers, enough side projects, enough already.  Pearl Jam release a new album.

I'm for the band doing whatever they want but if involves a symphony, count me out.  Never been a fan of anything more than MAYBE a cello on a rock and rock record and even then, very rarely.

It's one thing to write music around this idea.  Silverchair is a band that worked on this idea for a couple albums and really hit the jackpot with 'Dioramma' which is truly a brilliant album.  But it's another thing to have a catalog already and THEN to add strings might be hard to pull off...

So what songs would make the set list?

    1.  Just Breathe
    2.  The End
    3.
