If ive learnt anything with this band/singer its ALWAYS GO TO THE 2ND NIGHT.
That was so so good. EV singing a fugazi song. When worlds truly collide
Seriously! Glad ya got to see him doing it. Hopefully he continues doing that one in the states. Not my favorite fugazi song but seeing Ed do it would be rad!

Same. Not my fav fugazi song at all, but so good to hear.
I've been to the dischord house and offices and hung out with Ian Mackaye and I love how EV looks up to him as a DIY artist/label owner to aspire to. They may have taken differing paths in life but that ethos definitely comes through, especially when you go back to the roots of the band, self pollution radio, ticketmaster etc etc
What a great night, superb setlist. Highlights for me were: The reaction of the crowd to Eddie as he walked on stage: you could feel the love and energy come from the crowd. I can't imagine how that must feel to be him! Long Road: probably due to all the bad news of the past month, the version of Long Road really did make the hairs on my arms stand up Black: I have no words for how good this was. What a privilege it was to be there to see that. Eddie's mood: I know the shows so far on the tour have been intense which brings it's own experience. But I have to say it was great seeing Eddie in higher spirits and enjoying himself on stage again.
Honourable mentions: Unthought Known (great version and the crowd was really into it too), Parting Ways (first time seeing this) and the Into the Wild songs
Just want to say thank you to Ryan and Casey from AustinTexas, sitting in Row J, for selling us their spare Night 2 poster. I really liked it but they sold out before I arrived and you know how things are at the merch stand. Such nice people, and not because they sold the poster, we had a good chat with them their attitude was refreshing. Any way if you see this I hope you guys enjoy the show in Dublin tomorrow. If you bump into James McDonald say hi...

Thank you Eddie so much, words cannot express that show. That set was near on perfect with the covers of Neil and Fugazi too. He looked so up for it too, was in good spirits and the crowd was with him.
Least no one was filming from what I could see (wait for it) until probably the end when they realised Hard Sun closes the show... and relinquished all resistance. I still cannot and don't think I ever will get my head around why filming on a rubbish quality (audio and visual) mobile device is so necessary for people.
