Around my house there are lots of birds

they seem to be like gypsies

they circle thru the area looking for food

cardinals, finches, woodpeckers, doves

I notice them because I like to listen to their voices

they seem to have habitual shelters they frequent as they pass thru

favorite resting places in the tall trees

almost like hikers have shelters climbing up a mountain

they have trees and tall places to safely rest 

at the moment, I’m thinking of a confident dove

the one that likes to stand on the pinnacle of my roof

I can hear her and see her from my bedroom window

I love her!

she looks so comfortable up there 

looking out from that spot

I like it when she stops by to visit
