I remember the first time hearing it ever, not live. I was like Holy Shit! Got it to open Chicago II 2009. Amazing!

Grand Rapids '06 was my favorite. They followed it up with the best Crazy Mary and the best Alive I've ever heard.
That was a truly magical night.
Agreed x 1000
I would love a vinyl version of this show

I ve been lucky enough to see this song five times live and they have all been amazing. Definitely another song that needs to be in the set list more.
I have no idea how i've seen this song 8 times... just lucky I guess
PJ.com says it's been played 41 times total
I did some research and handful of those counted on PJ.com from 1992-93 were just teases with ramblings and some with no lyrics. The first time this song was played with recognizable lyrics was 1993 at Slim's Cafe in San Francisco. http://www.livefootsteps.org/songs/?song_id=183
I think the '05 - '06 versions were the best because it was in "regular" rotation. The '08 shows were pretty good too.
Never seen it live, but as someone else said, when I first found this song through some random torrent back in the day, I was like, holy shit! I kind of miss scouring the early internet and music stores for those rare PJ outtakes and B-sides.
Sweet! Little muffled at first, but then kicks ass. It's criminal that those '07 shows haven't been officially released. There are some great shows there. I have several of the audience recordings. Not sure why they are holding on to those.
Don't forget about Phoenix and Calgary from 2013 or Tulsa from 2014. I first heard HTI from the Boston 4/12/1994 show on a bootleg titled New Songs back in 1994. So good!!!

I am bias becuase I was there but hearing the HTI riff right after Pendulum in Baltimore was goosebump inducing. I also recall being flawless so it gets my vote.
I'll 2nd your vote. HTI from Baltimore in 2013 was really excellent.
All those are great, but man...that '94 Boston show...from about 1:30 on...is just pure fucking magic. You can see Mike and Stone is absolute perfect sync and Dave just in his own world waling on those drums. Jesus....
1. This song is not played enough. 2. Practically every version is someone's favorite, so it's great every time played. 3. My favorite version is Philly 2005 and that's not been mentioned once yet.
/\ that's always been my favorite studio version. Buuuuuut Bozo goes a little too hard at the cymbals at the end.
Ive always been baffled that this wasn't revisited in the No Code sessions. It would have fit perfect on that album. I get leaving it off of Vs. and Vitalogy...but not No Code.
thanks mcgruff10 . went to 5 shows that tour . you are right each show was stellar BUT that version of hti was like a studio recording. at the venue it was perfect sounding as well people were like in a trance. it was one of those musically beautiful magic moments.
Comments
Nope, didn't think so.
I've been lucky enough to see it twice (mid set at The Vic, and opening an MSG show in 08) and both were pretty special
