Pearl Jam on Opie and Anthony Today???

Okay, I apologize in advance for this weak thread, but did anyone hear Opie and Anthony talking about PJ this morning? I just caught the end of it, and I'm assuming they were talking about them in regards to the Kanye thing?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Ron and Fez, noon to three.
Hail, hail the lucky ones, I refer to those in love.

They asked Jim if he saw the PJ set at Bonnaroo and he said unfortunately no. Then they talked about PJ for a bit, about how they did the Dead thing for years and were still huge even though they were not on the radio (preceeded by the obligatory "didn't they break up for a while?"). Opie said he has never seen PJ and that today he found out about the MSG shows next week and wants to go to one of them if he can get good seats.

Any 10C-er have 2 extras for him? I was going to try and hook him up.

    ye they were bashing kanye,

anthony was making fun of eddies deep voice,

opie said he never saw pearl jam live and just found out they were playing msg and would love to get "really good" tickets

opie said he would "believe it or not rather see pj over metallica"

opie said pj took the smart road and stepped out of the spotlight to survive and kept putting out amazing records and songs

jimmy norton didnt see the pj set at bonnaroo

    ummm that was basically it

I heard it. Norton was talking about how he got to stand side stage for Metallica, and amazing it was. Then they got into the Kanye thing, Norton ripped Kanye for not even apologizingto the crowd for being late and instead spent all his time talking to some dumb spaceship. Opie said he didnt even realize that PJ was playing MSG next week and said he needs tickets, and not just any tickets, but good tickets. Opie was defending PJ to Anthony after ant said they kind of went away for awhile. Opie said they did what they wanted to do, and kind of went the way of the dead, and have built a very strong connection to thier fans. But they pretty much all agreed if PJ is on a stage they should play as long as they want and shouldnt have to end early to appease a crybaby rapper.

I didn't say "give". Someone could sell him 2 tickets if they have extras.

You are apparently not an O&A fan.

Why? Opie says Pj is awesome all the time. Had nothing but great things to say about their last album. If I had an extra pair I would give them to him in a second.

I was thinking about going to sit in on O&A or Ron and Fez before the MSG shows. Anyone else going or want to go?

I love Stern - however, can't get Sirius at my job, so I listen to O&A now (on K-rock until 9AM). I hated them at first, but now find them pretty entertaining.

    Jim Norton is hysterical!

I kind of think of O&A as Seinfeld. Opie is Jerry, the least interesting character on the show, yet the show wouldn't exist without him. Weird.

I'm a giant O&A fan, but I think that is a fair analogy.

Hey man, didn't mean no respect with my post. I've never actually listened to Stern, just used his name cause it was part of the thread. Jimmy uses that line on a lot things.

It will be good once this merger goes through, so there will be some crossover between the shows. I think the "conflict" between the shows is blown way out of proportion.

I'm a huge fan too. I'm not saying I don't NOT like him, it's just his role, almost like the Executive Producer who is on air.

But the characters on that show are incredibly funny; Ant, Jimmy, Patrice (my personal favourite), Bob Kelly, Jay Mohr when he calls in, Colin Quinn, even Vos, the list just goes on and on. I hope they get Artie on when the merger goes through too.
