The Fan-Run Wishlist Foundation Raises Money for Planned Parenthood, New York Civic Liberties Union, and The Bronx Freedom Fund in Honor of Pearl Jam’s RRHOF Induction
In addition to the band-run Vitalogy Foundation https://pearljam.com/acts/vitalogy , there is also a fan-run Foundation called Wishlist https://www.facebook.com/wishlistfoundation.
In honor of Pearl Jam’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Wishlist Foundation organized a series of fundraising events in New York where they raised $18,000 ($6,000 each) for three non-profits supported by Pearl Jam:
Planned Parenthood Brooklyn https://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-center/new-york/brooklyn/11201/boro-hall-center-2522-91110
New York Civic Liberties Union (NYCLU) https://www.nyclu.org/
The Bronx Freedom Fund https://pearljam.com/acts/news/matt-cameron-directs-10k-from-vitalogy-foundation-to-bronx-freedom-fund
A HUGE thank you to Pearl Jam fans + the Wishlist Foundation for ongoing support of the band's philanthropy. Or, as Stone said so eloquently in his RRHOF induction speech, "Thank you so much to the greater Pearl Jam community whose fierce autonomy and evolving manifestation is still a source of amazement and wonder to us all. Keep doing what you're doing, we're having so much fun watching you.”
