Is there any reason to do this anymore?
Articles like this make me sick http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/doctor-accused-of-genital-mutilation-on-girls/ar-BBzOUEy?ocid=spartanntp.
Especially when people have to be politically correct by stating A Detroit area physician faces federal charges for allegedly performing female genital mutilation on multiple 6- to 7-year-old girls as part of a religious and cultural practice
There is no reason to do this to children and babies. It is child abuse.

People don't like to envision mutilated vajajays first thing in the morning. Let them enjoy their coffee for chrissakes!
They didn't report what religion it was done in the name of.
At any rate it is child abuse no matter what culture or religion it was done in the name of.
It is tied to religion closely, but is more of a cultural tradition than a religious one.
This doctor is from India, and area that is 88% Hindu and around 10% Muslim.
Your assumption is yours to make, but there's no reason journalists should be making those kind of assumptions.
If they did and you didn't agree you would be calling it fake news.
The journalist to be thorough should have reported the culture and religion.
Instead it was written as PC so as not to offend.
Admit it, you made an assumption that it was Islamic and they deliberately left that out, now you are trying to walk it back.
You could be right, but it's a shitty assumption, not particularly groovy, IMO.
Ok
That makes perfect sense!
To expose all aspects of a particular culture/religion that practices these barbaric acts.
If it is a practice condoned by a culture/religion it is not a moot point. Not all religions/cultures do this.
Please close this thread.
Thank You
Care to differentiate between what your faux outrage is about and how "not all religions/cultures do this?"

You might as well bring up Dave while you at it.
Mods please shut this thread down as quickly as you did my thread on the Porch.
WHITE HOUSE MEMO
This is a season of hope for millions of Americans. This week, Jewish families celebrate Passover and retell the story of God’s deliverance of the Jewish people. This Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the promise of eternal salvation. America is a Nation of believers. As long as we have faith in each other, and trust in God, we will succeed!
Again, care to defend, "not all religions/cultures do this?"
