please explain how an artist print ended up in a 10c mystery box?

My thought was that maybe the artists are required to send a test print to the band for final approval.

Ticket is from the Saddledome in Calgary 2013.

    That's an awesome score.

There are some Fenway / Wrigley variant prints in the following image up for grabs in the mystery box

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. The poster is not signed.

To be completely honest, I've been out of the poster game for so long that I did not realize what I had received when I posted the picture. I had no clue that there was a variant. It's pretty cool that the 10 Club is making things like that available to fans through these Mystery Boxes.

I was just happy to get the Backspacer bouncy ball, lol.

The band receives a portion of each poster run, variant or otherwise.

    @darthvedder well deserved.

I wouldn't call it an artist print when it's not signed and numbered. The band is pretty savvy, not surprising they acquired some of the variants. Prob part of the contract with the artist at this point

    That isn't a bad haul!

That viking dude poster is EPIC...and a GA ticket to LEEDS! (Albeit a few years late, but whatever.)

I plunged first time myself. Got a buddy who is very skeptical of this and the raffles over on Facebook. Thinks they are rigged. Want to prove him wrong. 10 club FTW

They are rigged. Look for the mystery vinyl thread and see who got the Benny. It was not a coincidence.
Been a member 20 years, but only started reading the forums during the election when the comments were addicting and people were getting banned. Pretty entertaining and addicting. So even if I did find who got them, it wouldn't mean anything to me.
Could you explain how it was rigged?
The lady who spammed the forums for years for a Benny re-issue got a Benny in the mystery vinyl. Most of us just shrugged and were happy for her. That was one of my favorite parts of that sale, seeing how happy she was.
Now thats a far better way of looking at it, rigged or not, i couldnt care less, she was so thrilled it was absolutely worth it.

    Oh that is really cool!

(I see it as them not being rigged, but them noticing she bought one and they slipped a benny in there for her)

I think they said between 5-10 Bennys. Obviously, not everyone who bought a mystery vinyl made their items known. Was it fully rigged all the way through? No.

However, I wouldn't be surprised *if* they keep track of what people buy via 10C shop and "rig" the mystery items that way. I've never got a duplicate. The only time I did... I bought a 1993 single off eBay and then got one of the uncensored test pressings from a mystery box. The rumor was that those mystery vinyls where Leeze got her Benny were sent out geographically. A lot of the Midwest got a lot of side project stuff. It seems like the northwest USA got a lot of the PJ20s..

I bought two mystery posters. One regular, one "scratch and dent." Neither one was a duplicate.

Now...remember how they said that people who won tickets to the Fenway House of Blues event and didn't show up would have their accounts marked in a negative fashion? Hmmm...
What thing at Fenway HoB and why would people not show up?

House of Blues was a 10C only thing on Saturday night. They showed the video from Fenway 1.

I believe the tickets were free. Your name was on a list. Just like a regular show, you could take a guest who didn't have to be 10C. If you didn't show up, 10C said your account would be "negatively marked" and the rumors were flying as to what that meant.

A back stage pass good for every show would be cool. ;)

Cool indeed! Just imagine one random mystery box with this golden ticket? Backstage Pearl Jam pass of your choose of show.

so ironic you posted that. Last Primus show I went to, they put 10 Golden Tickets in copies of their newest vinyl (Willy Wonka theme), if you got one, you got free tickets to Primus shows for the rest of your life-not sure about the exact details, but I thought it was a really cool idea.
    primus sucks!!!!!

[will likely go see them with clutch this summer]
p.s. for non primus fans---'primus sucks' means that they are great!
go see them if you can--easy ticket to get...

    more mystery box pictures please

This. I love the idea of the mystery box. But I'm trying to avoid buying more 'stuff' unless it's a must have.

Yep, same boat here. All looks like good stuff for sure but I've been trying to cure my merch disease and this wouldn't help for 100 worth of more random stuff from shows I didn't attend.
