As much as I love Uncle Neil and was sad to see him not make it last night....I can't imagine he or anyone else would have done as good of a job as Letterman did last night. I thought it was great. Good balance of emotion mixed with a lot of humor. I think it worked out perfect having him substitute.

    It was perfect. Absolutely hilarious. And the story about eds note to his son was touching.

    I thought he was great. Someone commented in the Reviews thread that he made it all about him, and in a sense that's true; he made it about what Pearl Jam (and live music in general) meant and means to him, and in that way connected with all of the fans, as just another fan.
