Hey, how's Jarrod's reinventing government going by the way? Any particular areas of focus that'll be revamped?
April 6th was slated as "Sign final Middle East Peace Accord" day, so that's going to occupy a few hours of his time. He'll probably reinvent government after lunch or so.
A growing number of influential Republicans concerned about the death, destruction and instability that a Syrian president unanswerable to the United States can bring certainly hope that's the case.
MORNING: • 8:55AM: President Trump participates in the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride AFTERNOON: • 2:35PM: President Trump arrives in West Palm Beach, Florida • 6:30PM: President Trump and the First Lady have dinner with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan
There's a part of me that feels badly for those so personally affected by the slob, but there's another side of me that- on a daily basis- is simply astonished at the ongoing developments.
This demonstrates that the democratic party has lost it's friggin' mind...completely beholden to it's most extreme wing.
I think it demonstrates that both parties have lost it. Dems blocked a nomination they didn't have to. There are far worse potential nominees than Gorsuch, and now that the Reps have gone nuclear, it will be easier to get any of them confirmed should anything happen to sitting SCOTUS justices. The Reps have lost it because neither Gorsuch nor Trump are worth screwing with the 60 vote requirement, and the Reps will see this used against them next time the parties switch power. Majorities always eventually become minorities in Congress. Dumb move all the way around. No cooperation, no middle ground, no moderate viewpoints. Just two parties filled with ideologues without any practical ability to legislate. Fuck them all.

Yeah just like before him when the previous administration sent over 4thousand American soldiers to their death over the same thing , how far should we go back blaming administrations before this one starts acting like they are in charge ..

Says the neocon who's party of preference wouldn't even hold hearings on Obama's nominee. Disgraceful as they are.
To be fair, they're not going for graceful - they're going for successful, and it's looking a hell of a lot like a gamble which paid off (case and point - they refused Garland, and are likely to have Gorsuch pushed through). Blame it on a system with loopholes that allowed them to not give Garland the time of day.

How did he lie? Here's what I read from the site you referenced:
"Kerry said all of Syria’s chemical weapons had been removed. The UN body in charge said that the last of Syria’s declared chemical weapons left the country in late June. There remain, however, some discrepancies in the details of the weapons the Syrians had acknowledged possessing, and some additional work is needed.
With that qualification, we rate the claim Mostly True."
...and...
"In the days and weeks to come, we will learn more about the recent attacks, but in the interest of providing clear information, we have replaced the original fact-check with this update."
Nowhere does it say Kerry made an intentionally false statement. Spin much?

This is Kerry's direct quote: ""we got 100 percent of the chemical weapons out."

The republicans abdicated their responsibility despite holding a majority and being able to reject Garland as today's vote showed. They are a party bereft of ideas and can't win in the ring of ideas. They only win by voter suppression, politics of personal destruction, gerrymandering and the shit they've done for the past 8 years. They were the ones who claimed their number one priority was to see this president, Obama, fail and that "compromise" was a dirty word. Fuck them. But the chickens will come home to roost as exemplified by Trump. Karma.

You're not wrong but unfortunately there was no compromise to be made. Gorsuch was well qualified and not an extremist. There is no judge other then Garland who would have been acceptable to the democrats and that was never going to happen. The democrats are going to regret it the next time around and the republicans will regret years down the road.
