I know it's impossible to pick one...but I'm looking for examples of YOUR favorite album(s). I'm not talking a flavor of the month but in all your years of listening what is that one, two maybe three albums TOPS that you can listen to from first track to last track every single day and years later can make you cry by how great it is. In other words, what album are you taking to a deserted album with no way of getting off? Yes, their is a solar powered vinyl/CD/cassette/MP3 player already there.

No Code PJ. Blind Melon self titled, Quadrophenia - Who. Pale - Toad the wet Sprocket. Awesome albums. Four albums but like you say it's impossible haha :anguished:
  • Pink Floyd the Wall is a contender.

    So is Led Zeppelin II.

If I had to make such a decision, my head might well explode!

Barring flying brain matter, I'll go with Jimi Hendrix, "Axis Bold As Love".

Other than the first five PJ records....

Radiohead - The Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A
U2 - Achtung Baby and Joshua Tree
Nirvana - Nevermind and In Utero
Oasis - Definitely Maybe and (WTS) Morning Glory
    Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
    GNR - Appetite for Destruction
    Soundgarden - Superunknown
    Alice In Chains - Dirt

Edit: I didn't see the "two or three tops" quote in the initial post so I decided to bold the top 2.

For PJ I think No Code is the best start to finish. For other bands:

    Styx - The Grand Illusion
    Darkside
    Zeppelin II
Peppers - By The Way (probably not in the conversation, but one of my favorites to listen to right through)

Harvest- Neil Young. A fucking masterpiece.
Vs- Pearl Jam. A fucking masterpiece that would supplant Harvest if Glorified G had been swapped with Wash, Alone, Brother, Yellow Ledbetter, pretty much any of the songs they had in the hole.
    Blind Melon- Eponymous
