  • Yess!! There is one about 2 1/2 hours away from me on a Wednesday night. Gonna be tough to finagle, but I need to work this out. They are amazing live. J. Roddy is so wild and rather cocky on stage, but highly captivating and entertaining!!

No Texas but I'm sure they'll do a lot of touring when the album comes out.

A few years ago I got to see them 9 times in 11 months and never had to leave Austin. I got spoiled.

Awesome. I saw them in Austin as well, saw their ACL Aftershow in the basement of Stubbs. Was really damn good, had a great time.

Sure was, packed! There was this girl with a big backpack on that kept pushing through the crowd on the right side. Pretty bizarre in a space that small. (Hoping that's not your wife, haha).

Caught the band in Chattanooga this past Saturday and they are just one of the best live shows you'll see. Plus they hang out and chat with fans. Just a great overall experience. The opener was the Quaker City Night Hawks who were an exceptional surprise. If you get the chance to catch a show, GO! Rod also said to expect the new record to release late August-early September.

    Good Stuff
I saw both Quaker City Night Hawks and J Roddy at Shaky knees last week. Both were good!
J Roddy Played a new song that sounded good. Similar to their usual sound.
They also did a cover of nirvana's all apologies which was quite cool.

Hmmm. Let me just say that I really love this band and I appreciate their past albums. This song does not immediately reach out and grab me like their other music does. It's sounds a bit slick and synthesized. Almost as if it belongs on the Pretty and Pink Soundtrack....not bad, it's just I've heard this before. Where is the raw, organic, powerful, original rock they like to give us??

totally agree.  reminds me of Kings of Leon after their first two monster albums (before they became posers making generic rock songs and power ballads).

Love these guys -- hoping the album is their old sound and not more of this
