Does anyone know if Pearl Jam are coming back in 09 and if they are rumoured/going to be attending the Big Day Out 09?

    there is another thread on this...
    they are rumoured for BDO but no strong source behind it
    they will not tour here till a new album is out
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
    2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
    2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

    Yes they will be here in 09. Remember Ed said in Necastle that it was the Mark Richards Tri invitational or something like that.... so they were last here in 06, so 3 years on 09.

    Just about every show he tells them 'We'll see you guys next year'.

    I don't think they'll do Australia again. Not after 2 consecutive tours.

    I'm sorry but that's the wrong answer. Don't worry, you don't leave here empty handed. You'll enjoy many an hour playing the "Guess When PJ Return To Australia" board game with your friends and family. Ladies and gentlemen, give him a hand. He's been an excellent contestant.

    Yeah im waiting on the next MR triannaul. he wouldnt dissapoint a mate even if its a solo show
    (Not after 2 consecutive tours.)sorry we missed out last tour so its not consecutive.
    PJ love touring oz, they generally tour every 3-4 years ESP after an album release- late next year is my tip. around november again.

    In fact we've missed out on the last 2 tours if you count Europe 07 and East Coast USA in 08 :)

    Im seriously intrigued to see if they play Newy again.

    My thoughts....album April May next year......tour the following summer.

    Id be happy to shed a year off my life to be going to a concert or 5 tomorrow.
    I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    We'll see what happens... I just don't think 2009 is all.

    They'll play there again, i just think they'll skip a tour. I wouldn't be suprised to see South America again first.

    I tend to agree. Possibly November, or early 2010. Was hoping they would be at BDO but obviously a bit to much to ask.

    now i have spent years reading all these posts you guys put on here (yeah i know, creepy little voyuer) but i do love this one enough to actually comment that i do love this board game and the buddy i took on tour last time they were in oz has started playing it with me
