You never really had to begin with.

The world of rock and roll would not have been the same without you, Chuck. R.I.P.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

To be honest, I thought he was already dead. :fearful: But since he wasn't, good for him, living a nice long life during which he made such a massive contribution to the world. RIP.

Feel so lucky that in 2008 I went to see friends play a festival in Baltimore and Chuck Berry happened to be on the lineup the one day I went, not sure I would have seen him live if not for that set that day. And of course he was amazing, and duckwalking all over the stage in his copyrighted way! <3

He's got some great company to rock out to with up there... and a ton of fans up there too...
