Not For You is playing at my house as of this very moment. It's kind of criminal that it isn't still around.

For sure it's criminal. Not For You voted off before Nothingman????

People are still confused that's it's not for "you"...
    It's a hopeless situation...

Corduroy will win. Great songs on Vitalogy, would have liked to see Last Exit make the final round. Last Exit and Hail, Hail off No Code could be brothers. B)

Last Exit is awesome and Hail Hail sucks rotten eggs.
I should save this for a future No Code poll, but can't resist - Hail, Hail on Letterman.

I'm disappointed Not For You is gone too.
It makes much more sense to live......in the present tense.

Lots of chatter re: live versions.

I wonder how we would vote if it were early '95 after playing the crap out of the album for a few months. And at the age we would have been at. Me thinks the softy's would have taken a backseat.

    Nothingman? Definitely.
Immortality? Definitely not. I've always loved it (even with the fade out ending).
Immortality does indeed have some weight. I'll give you that.

Hail Hail is the weakest song on a bottom tier album for me. Never did like it much and still don't. As for it being the last great rocker until severed hand, well that is just a departure from reality.
And before someone asks if I have seen No Code live the answer to that is yes as well.

    I feel raped now. :|

Easier than expected because Nothingman, while great, is a notch or two below its competitors.

Next round though...whoa! Not sure how to choose between them.

Hail Hail was the last great PJ rocker until Severed Hand ten years later.

They did these albums called Yield, Binaural and Riot Act. You should really check them out.

I will grant you Do the Evolution, but Binaural's weakest links are the heavier songs (Breakerfall, God's Dice and Evacuation wouldn't even top the b-sides from Ten and Vs.), and Riot Act's aren't great. Since we can express opinions on here that Tremor Christ is boring than I'm going to give my non-mainstream opinions too.

I will grant that thinking Tremor Christ is boring is way crazier than thinking Hail Hail is better than most of the rockers on the next few albums.

For the love of god, enough! At the very least, please save the "Hail, Hail" bashing for the No Code thread. I can't take it! ;)

Agreed. It's easy too forget how much fun talking about the music can be.

It really is great to revisit these albums (or in my case, the songs on these albums from live shows) and discuss the merits (and foibles) of each one. It's a great reminded about how much great music they've made.

Edit: And yes, it's quite entertaining watching the gloves come off from time to time.

I'm sorry, Nothingman. You deserved better. So did Not For You and Last Exit. Be comforted by the fact that you are part of Vitalogy, one of the greatest albums of all time. You continue to grow better and better with age, and I'll never forget hearing you live for the first time at Wrigley!

Full disclosure, listening to the 4/11/94 bootleg right now, specifically the live debut of Immortality, followed by Corduroy. Not really fair, and I have no idea what I'll do next round.

Absolutely love both songs (Corduroy and Immortality) but I don't know if Immortality will win in the end. My guess is that a lot of those current Nothingman votes will translate into more Immortality votes than Corduroy ones....

...or maybe I have no clue what I'm talking about.

Are we voting off the weakest link based upon the original studio version or not?

It's really too bad four songs had to go last round (due to the three-way tie). This round wasn't even close!
