Request for Jeff Ament's NCAA bracket

mwplummwplum Posts: 1,531
Sorry for starting a thread for this, but for those of us participating in the PJ NCAA pick em contest, it would be really cool to see Jeff's bracket so we can follow along as the tournament progresses.

Please and thanks,
Matt

he had all #1 seeds in the final 4.

and just about all #2 seeds in the elite 8 (except one #3 seed, Oregon). Dude gotta mix it up a little!

Yea that's pretty lame. I think all 4 #1s only made it in 2008 recently.

Gonzaga to win it? Someone's out of touch.
  • mwplummwplum Posts: 1,531
^^Perhaps it has to do with the fact that it's in WA State, somewhat close to Montana, and the hometown of Steve Gleason? I'd like to see the Zags win too, but couldn't pick them all the way.

True. Thanks for pointing that out. The problem with Gonzaga is that their schedule is too soft.
  • mwplummwplum Posts: 1,531
True, but this is arguably the strongest team they've ever had. When I was a teenager, my dad took me to Key Arena in Seattle in 1999 for the opening rounds where #10 seeded Gonzaga knocked off #2 Stanford, and that hooked me on them, have been a fan for the past 18 years. This year they have a deep talented roster (including 3 seven footers), and they went 5-0 vs top 25 teams, but I still agree with you, it's hard to seriously think they have a legitimate shot of winning it all. Frankly, I think they'll have a tough time in the sweet 16. I have them going out to West Virginia, but wouldn't mind being proven wrong.

Zags were picked as most likely to win but a couple sites.
