I am having a hard time listening to everyones opinion on the matter to be honest. Especially the ones saying the show must go on with out any sensitivity to the issue. I just can't fathom how so many people are shrugging this off as a non issue for the tour. I am not singling anyone out and it is mostly on social media but comments like "not his first rodeo" and "he is a professional he will be fine" are very irritating to me. This page for the most part has been a great spot to go to and connect with many like minded fans.
I think people probably say this because when most people lose a parent or sibling, they can only take a few days off before they have to get back to work.  Doing a desk job is a little different when sad though than having to entertain 1,000 people for sure.

I'd imagine there will be an announcement very soon if any dates are to be cancelled. Funeral details have just been released so management will be working hard behind the scenes on this.

Ya I thought this too. I am not a multimillionaire that can take weeks off of work if something bad happens. Eddie on the other hand does not need to work another day in his life. He gets to choose what fits him best. People projecting there own lives and situations on him is just weird to me.

Yeah, but Ed doesn't live his life in a vacuum.  He has the crew to think about, venue staff, and thousands of fans who have paid for traveling costs, etc...  He can do what he wants though.

Ya it reminds me of when the cancelled in North Carolina. I really felt for the venue/crew workers that depend on that pay check.

Surely there is no way he will do the Amsterdam shows. And if he cancels them he may pull the whole tour..I've got London 1 + 2 and Dublin but like others have said, i fully agree if he's not in the right frame of mind

I don't understand that reasoning. Why would he have to pull the whole tour when being forced to pull a date.

He wouldn't be FORCED into doing anything, it's his personal choice and whatever that choice is then I will still support him, just thinking that from previous Ed solo shows, he's been more of a comedian than musician some nights, and if he can't be like that due to the circumstances then maybe he feels that it's won't be fair on us fans...no beef with you just my opinion that's all, I'll be absolutely gutted if he cancels but he's still God no matter what

Some of the crew just left today for Amsterdam. At most, he could reschedule the first show. But nothing is being cancelled.
Some of the crew left for Amsterdam? Well that's that. The EV shows will go on.

What are you talking about. If he had to go to Chris funeral and that made him not being able to get to Amsterdam in time then he would be forced to pull that date. Is this some semantics-argument?

Please stop gossips and things like that. EV tour is 100% confirmed according to pearljam.com, the rest is just speculations.
