I've met Ed twice. Once before a solo show on the street in Nashville. He was very nice and gave me a pick and shook my hand. I've met everyone else once and it was pretty quick. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

I met Jeff. He was in a really terrible mood because it was at the end of a tour and he was bagged and cranky for the whole show anyway, but he'd also just had his RNDM mask stolen by some asshole about 2 minutes before I approached him, so was extra pissy. I was drunk, some other drunk people (autograph hounds I think) encouraged me to crash the green room, so I did, and then I accidentally interrupted a conversation he was having and then I just started babbling. It wasn't great.
He did still sign my RNDM album though. He could have just as easily told me to fuck off. So yeah, good guy.

drakeheuer14 said:If I ever meet him I pray on everything holy that Ed does not give me guitar picks. It just seems gimmicky almost or just very weird to do out in public. Yes, I get overall its a kind gesture and in a show setting it would be awesome, but not on the streets. I would so much rather just a handshake or a few words exchanged.

Met Ed twice - once mid show in Osaka, Japan 1995 during the Porch "jam". He had climbed up into the upper balcony and I actually helped pull him up and get through the crowd. The crowd was going nuts and he was trying to calm people down and just hang out in the crowd. I was in the military at the time and at the show with my buddy. There were a couple of other Americans near us, and when Ed saw them and heard us speaking English, took a moment to shake our hands and we walked with him down the hall until security escorted him back to the stage to finish out the song. Was my first PJ show, that was obviously kind of a "freak-out" moment! Also met him in L.A. in 2011 after a solo show.
I also got to meet Matt in Las Vegas in 2001 after a Wellwater Conspiracy show (that's where my profile picture is from.) It was interesting because there were a couple of local opening bands, which it seemed most of the local people were there for, because it was pretty packed, but by the time Wellwater came on around 1 a.m., there were maybe 50 people left. It was a small local bar which closed several years ago, and I imagine most of the early crowd didn't even know who Wellwater was. After the show, I introduced myself to Matt, we talked drumming for a little while, and John McBain took the picture of us. I even helped them load their van afterwards.

Been lucky enough to meet everybody but Ed and they were all very cool. Just shook their hands, told them I was a big fan, thanked them for the music and moved along. Mike was after a show in Seattle and he was on the street signing for a bunch of people when I met him so I got his signature. Everybody else was in Chicago last year before the Wrigley shows. I got a lot out of just getting to shake their hands, look them in the eye and say thank you for producing the soundtrack of my life.

GummiBeer said:I met Uncle Neil back in 09 when he did a complete Canadian tour. I actually had Mirror Ball playing in my car, seen him and his tour manager walking up Queens road here in St. John's. Myself and my wife stopped the car to say hi, he stuck his head in and laughed and said good taste in music...hehe. He asked us to go for a walk with him, so had to take him up on the offer. Talked everything of the love of cars, to his Linconvolt, other artists, to the upcoming shows. He must have asked 5 times if we had tickets to the shows, with every response that we had GA's for both. He is very chill but did get annoyed easy with the amount of attention he was getting from star gazersHugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

I met Mike in Boston 2006. Me and a few buddies were having lunch on a patio the day of the show when one of my buddies started smacking the table like he was having a seizure. He called out “Mike!” I turned around and Mike was walking towards us. I must say the rest was kind of a blur because I got star struck, but he asked us our names and talked for a couple minutes. When he left he said nice to meet you Sean..........my name is John. But I didn’t hold it against him............and Evelyn ❤️0

During the Wrigley '13 show my wife and I were forced in the VIP tunnel for the storm. Jam packed like sardines, there was several storage boxes for Matt's gear with his name and Pearl Jam written all over it. I leaned up against them, took some pictures and posted on facebook I met with the band as a joke. To my shock, everyone bought it, like I'd pose with the gear instead of the band.
But that was as close as I got.0 -
Met & hung with Stone after a Brad show in WA in 2003 at a dumpy ass bar called Settlers Tavern in Margaret River.

I always thought I'd like to meet Jeff, being a bass player, but honestly, and to his own admission, sometimes he can be kind of moody and/or private, whereas I picture Stone always being up for a casual conversation. Kinda like Mike.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0
