It's a super effective thing to do, and if you don't see why, then you're trying not to. The costume tactic is specifically being done to make Trump and his cronies and MAGA look like huge fucking liars and bullshit artists as they go off constantly about how the "extreme left" are murderers, violent, dangerous, rioters, and terrorists (the last being especially important, since Trump is now just murdering whoever he decides to call a terrorist, so far just in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, but if they get the term to stick to the Democrats/left, guess what happens next? It's hard to justify murdering "terrorists" who are just standing there in inflatable costumes). The tactic is working well.

Never said I was okay with it.
I said he's old, he's not living forever. He'll be older than Biden was at the end of his term, I don't see him taking over the WH by any sort of force. The majority of the people and those in office won't want him to just stay forever. 
The Supreme Court never ruled that a sitting president can refuse to leave after his term and no one will ever do anything about it. It's just not going to happen.
