i guarantee trump believes that Rudy can lawyer him out of 2 articles. The dems should have come out with 5 or 6. Then the conversation would be about the potential to resign without being arrested instead of trying to weasel out of only 2 articles. Dems needed to come out aggressively and let the entire world know that they are not fucking around. Trump still thinks this is a joke. He is in serious legal jeopardy but he does not believe it. If they had come out with 5 or 6 separate articles they have a better chance of one of them sticking.

leave it to the dems to mismanage a slam dunk.
Why do you think that 2/3 of the Senate would slam dunk 1 or 15 articles?
to acquit on 2 charges is nothing. happens all the time. you throw 5 or 6 articles, knowing he is guilty as hell of 2 of them, to acquit of all 5 or 6 would reek of corruption of the process. it will be a constitutional crisis that will have to be addressed.

When a president tries to cheat in an American election, it's against the Constitution and the Constitution provides for impeachment to stop him/her. There's no ambiguity about that.  Souleater likes to cheat at all sorts of things. Maybe some day we'll see his tax returns...numbers don't lie.

$2BB in loans from Duetsch Bank over 2 decades. How much of that has Team Trump Treason paid back? And who co-signed?

High crimes and misdemeanors are not necessarily criminal code crimes.  For example, obstruction of congress is not in the criminal code.

I'm no lawyer, but Inciting to Violence (Disturbing the Peace) is an actual crime (misdemeanor).  TX Statute of Limitations is ticking away though.  One year from Feb 12 2019.

The man has no shame at all. He's not even aware in the slightest of what he's done wrong.
I believe he's quite pathetic and without a shred of honor. Cheater, cheater, pants on fire.

Growing divide between Trump and McConnell over impeachment trial
    December 10, 2019

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are both looking ahead to the Senate impeachment trial, but there is a growing divide between the two over what that trial should look like, CNN has learned.

In conversations with the White House, the Kentucky Republican has made clear he hopes to end the trial as soon as he can, an effort to both get impeachment off his lap and protect his conference from potentially damaging votes should the process break out into partisan warfare. That will include a continuous whip count until McConnell feels he has the votes to acquit the President and end the show. He has even floated a 10-day minimum during these talks, one person said.

But the show is exactly what Trump wants. He's made clear to advisers privately that rather than end the trial as quickly as possible, he is hoping for a dramatic event, according to two people familiar with his thinking. He wants Hunter Biden, Rep. Adam Schiff and the whistleblower to testify. He wants the witnesses to be live, not clips of taped depositions. And he's hoping to turn it into a spectacle, which he thinks is his best chance to hurt Democrats in the election.

Yeah I read that earlier, Kat. More republican grown ups in the senate than in congress, thankfully.
