Mueller believes Manafort fed information to Russian with intel ties
Manafort discussed a Ukrainian peace plan with Kilimnik, his lawyers acknowledged. He also shared polling data related to the 2016 presidential campaign with Kilimnik, Manafort's legal team acknowledges in their court filing.
The details accidentally released Tuesday are the closest public assertion yet in the Mueller cases of coordination between a Trump campaign official and the Russian government, as Kilimnik is believed to be linked to Russian military intelligence. It's a major acknowledgment from the Mueller team that their investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election is finding potential contact between at least one Trump campaign official and the Kremlin.
While most of the country is focused on the shutdown staredown, special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation trundles on.
“The shutdown has pushed the Russia investigation out of the news cycle. But Trumpworld knows it hasn’t gone away,” writes reporter Gabriel Sherman.
Trumpworld is preparing the worst.
“Rudy Giuliani recently told a friend that he expects Mueller’s report to be ‘horrific,’ a person briefed on the conversation said,” the report says.
In this case, though, Trump does appear to have an exit strategy.
“You’re already hearing people speculate Trump could do a deal and resign,” Vanity Fair reports
As much as I want him gone, I also don’t want any deal. He needs to be reamed.
I’ve said before that this is the way I think it will go down. Would probably have to do with his son or daughter not getting any jail time or something.

gonna be a big year!
I don't think he cares about anyone, even his own offspring, besides himself. I don't think he'd waste any concessions on them...well, maybe if he thought it would help his reputation.
I want him in a way that makes it clear that he's gone because of wrongdoing. I don't need him to go to prison. But I do not want some deal where he gets to slink away and we don't really know why and all we hear about is his talk about how the conspiracy/which hunt did him in. We need to learn from this and to do so, the wrongdoing must come out. If he allows it to come out expeditiously in exchange for his freedom, fine. Nixon resigned so as not to be removed...that doesn't really save him from being disgraced.

Mueller's team met with pollster Tony Fabrizio in February 2018, an interview that has not been previously reported and takes on new significance after Manafort's attorneys revealed Tuesday that Mueller's team is still interested in how Manafort shared polling data with his Russian intelligence-linked colleague.
If Mueller's known this for a year, imagine where things will be another year from now....I fell like the investigation has continued to slowly escalate with no signs of slowing down
I may call out of work to watch the Cohen testimony.
Lordy, will that be entertaining!
Can't wait.

Cohen’s weak testimony before the house committee is going to be sizzling. I sure hope the nuclear football is no where near Team Trump Treason. Mark February 7th on your calendars folks. And hunker in your bunker.
Team Trump Treason has been laundering money for putin on the ritz and corrupt oligarchs for years, all in violation of Foreign Influence Corruption Act statutes. The burden is on Team Trump Treason to know, or should have known, that money being used to purchase his condos was legit and not obtained by nefariousness or illegal means. That’s what legit businesses do, not ones with 600 shell companies.

Rudy Giuliani thinks Mueller report will be ‘horrific’ — and insiders say Trump may strike deal to resign: report
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Fox News (screengrab)
Buried in a new Vanity Fair story about President Donald Trump’s lack of exit strategy for his showdown over the proposed border wall, which aides fear will be his “personal Alamo,” is another intriguing nugget.
While most of the country is focused on the shutdown staredown, special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation trundles on.
