    He lost his midwest base in PA MI WI & IA. He can not win in 2020 without those states. Dems won their first AZ senate election in 30 years, and they are within a point or two in formerly deep red in GA FL AZ NC TX. See you on election day.

    the news has ALWAYS been about grabbing attention. this isn't new. from giant hyperbolic headlines on the newspaper, the kid on the street corner yelling "EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT", the "breaking news" banner is just the new version of that. 

    a hot woman in a short skirt may grab my attention, but if she has no substance, I won't keep engaging. the banners are no different.

    Yes, and even if they didn't, "Breaking" banners don't change what's being reported. Yes, they want to draw your attention obviously (like you also said HFD, that's always been the case, ever since those little kids were yelling "extry! extry! read all about it!" on the street corners, all competing with each other), but that doesn't alter the facts being reported.
    And then there is that old line I've heard forever in school: The news doesn't tell you what to think - only what to think about. Now that is quite true. And why everyone should seek out as many different news sources as possible.

    Then the blue shirt should be "reality."  The Mueller Report should come out and be taken seriously.  The reality is that no matter what it says, very little will come of it. 

    EDIT: Actually the blue shirt should be the Muller Report and the red shirt should be reality.

    I think it's important. Never said it wasn't. I look forward to hearing the findings. I'm just not overly excited about it, or obsessed with it.
