I'm with Elizabeth on this. His history is not good at all, especially for the position of Attorney General.

    Posting Guidelines

    1. Be nice. We're very big on RESPECT here. Respect for each other, the band and the Ten Club Community forum environment. Please think of it as if you are as a guest in someone else's home. Please do not put your posting privileges at risk.

    2. Discuss, disagree and debate politely. It's possible to disagree with people without being abusive, and it's a requirement here. This includes abusive Private Messages.

    a. We operate on the "I'm rubber, you're glue" philosophy so if you make a wonderful, thoughtful post with good points and call the other guy a moron while you're at it, it'll be removed. See #3.

    3. There are people bashing and insulting each other all over the internet. We feel it can be better here.

    4. Please respect topic integrity by not derailing discussions from the original poster’s intent (OP). You can begin a new topic of your own in the appropriate forum.

    i get your point. i'll say this...for every 1 poll/thread i create, there are 50 that i don't create.
we are in a time where discussion is more necessary than ever. this community is unique in that the discussion is largely anonymous yet the individuals here share a common love for music and perhaps intellectual political discussion.

while the language of the tweets was vile, the Senator never addressed the universal theme of betrayal.

the tweets all came from members of the African-American community. They wanted to know how a black man could bring himself to vote for someone they believe to be a racist. Perhaps there was more to the video? But he never addressed that issue.

He has addressed it multiple times. So have the many African Americans who have spoke on Sessions' behalf. The racism charge against Sessions is unfounded. The real racism is the suggestion that Senator Scott and other's are betraying their race by thinking for themselves.

Coretta Scott King would disagree with your assessment and I believe her to have been just a bit more in touch with the events of those times !

I was thinking it might be time to write a political EP and title it "The Jeff Sessions".

I'm wondering if trump might tell him to him to not worry about legal weed. As much as I can't stand trump, he's not so big on the morality stuff, so this may play out where I actually approve of his decision, even though it would be just a status quo decision.
