    Jailbreak: Love on the Run

I was already aware if this case - as a true crime fan, I've seen this on YouTube and shit. But this doc really brought a bunch of stuff to light, and it is HIGHLY entertaining I think, haha. Like wtf?!?! What was this woman thinkin!??! WHAT. THE. FUCK? It's a wild case.

The Vince documentary was a complete disappointment. Don't know about anyone else but it was nothing we already knew.

I'm enjoying the Beckham's documentary.  It's interesting to learn so much about football and David's career journey.

as a massive WWF mark in the 80's/90's/early 2000's, there was a LOT I didn't know.

Man this Menedez show has been nuts. Got 1 episode left. I see a documentary is now up too.

I am sure a lot is embellished for tv, but yeah you can make the argument that if they were a couple of sisters they may have gotten off.

I'm super familiar with this case, and honestly, there isn't much embellishment going on with this one. This show is the one that just really reminds everyone that there was sexual abuse happening to these guys. The whole world essentially ignored that fact for years. The brothers made it kind of easy to ignore though, with their spiled behaviour after the murders. Still, back then, sexual abuse against males was not something anyone particularly gave a shit about, and it showed in this case.

Well Kim Kardashian is on the case now. Would be funny if she got them out.

There was evidence of them discussing that abuse with friends/relatives prior to the murders correct?

My kids had asked me about this show and I said "oh yeah they did it" and then once I started watching I remembered the stuff that came out. I had completely forgotten about the sexual abuse and how I had changed my tune years ago.

Well the last episode, in their second trial, makes it seem like they did embellish a lot of the abuse though? I'm not sure what to think.

I will say the show does actually make you feel sympathy towards them when they get transferred to two separate prisons.

My dad was the watch sergeant in Men's Central Jail for about 15 years. He was the one escorting OJ to his cell for the first time (and every day in trial) when he walked by the brothers. He told me OJ turned to him and said "Man, those boys are white!"

I’m like a month late to this conversation, I don’t check this thread often.
My dad’s probably met more rock stars than Eddie working there (joking, kinda). We followed it pretty close because my dad was in charge of them, and OJ, and most other celebrities in jail.
The problem with those brothers, I believe they were probably abused. But it’s a hard sell when it’s 2 adults, one in his 20s, when they killed their parents instead of just moving out and getting a job. Especially in the manner that they did, including the mom. And then go on a spending spree right afterwards. Their story can be 100% right and still deserve a guilty verdict. Maybe some leniency on the sentence.
