IRON MAIDEN’s hugely successful The Book Of Souls World Tour will return to North America for an extensive series of arena and amphitheater shows in summer 2017. The mammoth tour opened in Florida last February playing fourteen sold-out shows in the U.S.A and Canada along with a further 58 concerts in 34 other countries around the globe.

First night reviews from Ft Lauderdale called it “…a full-throttle, devil-may-care performance that thrilled a sold-out BB&T Center” (Sun Sentinel) with Revolver magazine reporting how the band’s legendary mascot Eddie dominated the Maya-themed stage: “From a walking zombie towering over band members during the set, to being featured on a host of back-drops and huge blow-up figures – the quintessential symbol was omnipresent for the entire show” including Eddie having his heart literally ripped out of his chest and hurled into the crowd by Bruce!

Haven't seen them in years. I have been to every tour since the A Matter Of Life and Death tour so I really don't mind when they change it up and play more newer stuff. And it makes sense really when the last big tour they did here was focused extensively on their hits and their 80s stage set up from the Seventh Son tour

Before I saw them last year, I hadn't seen them since they did a small tour when Bruce came back. I am 51, so I was lucky enough to have seen them a bunch of times starting when they opened for UFO in the 1981 with Paul D'ianno at the helm.

I saw them last year when TBOS World Tour opened here in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale). Great show as they focused on the new album which was appropriate. Before that I think it was 1987 I saw them on the Somewhere In Time tour, not that was a huge fan but I saw some video of them live on VHS. They seemed fascinating live so I said that winter in MD. Ive got to see them live and that was a great first time show at the Capital Centre.
I see this tour starts off at my old stomping grounds just outside of MD and only one visit to FL, NORTH Florida.

    Peace

Tampa is considered North FL? It's only around a 3 1/2 hour ride from down here in S. FL. Opening night last Feb. was a great show, even with all the newer songs. If someone wants to see a greatest hits show, this isn't the show to see.

^ Well that's good news to me then as I've seen "hits tours" numerous times already. I love the hits but I'm more than happy to listen to more of the new material

I personally never really understood the whole appeal of Ghost. I don't understand why they change the line up so often but still feel the need to continue the "faceless band" gimmick? I don't know to me their songs sound very similar to one another and they sound likethey are trying to be Electric Wizard or something.

Just got out of the Iron Maiden show in Tampa, the "Irons" put on another spectacular show. :rock_on: Let the traffic clear out a little, then hit the road for the 3-4 hour ride home to the southeast coast of FL. Well worth the trip to see them once again.

I left right before the final song and was out of the main parking lot in two minutes. I always luck out when getting out of there. Surprised they didn't play Run to the Hills, but all the new songs sounded great.

I talked to someone else who did/does the same thing. He said that he always looks at the setlists and bolts before the last song. It's the only way to make it home before 2 a.m.

Maiden is one of the few shows that I won't leave early. This tour especially since they pulled out the hits at the end of the set. I was surprised they did Blood Brothers! Wasn't expecting that one and loved it, as it's one of my favorites of theirs. :rock_on:
