I'm sorry for this rookie question, but was hoping someone could help me with some initial questions as I've only tried fantasy baseball once about 10 years ago (it didn't go well) and it wasn't a head to head format. I've been playing fantasy football for over 15 years, and am a huge MLB fan, but was hoping for some guidance:
1) I went to league settings, but couldn't find the points given to particular categories (i.e.. hits, HR, saves, strikeouts, etc)..is there somewhere this is listed?
2) Are certain positions more coveted than others? Like in football RBs have been traditionally the go to for at least 2 of the first 3 rounds...with baseball, do you begin by going after positional players with limited depth at their positions (i.e. a catcher who is also a really good hitter)? Are Ace stating pitchers coveted? Like what round of the draft would you begin thinking about a pitcher?
3) In the head to head format, do you just set one lineup at the beginning of the week? Or do you have the ability to move players throughout the week (ie. off your bench if one of your starters has a day off)?
I just searched around the league site for a few minutes, but couldn't seem to find that information in the settings. I will educate myself by the time the draft starts, but would appreciate any insight to get me started.
Thanks very much, Matt

Hey Matt, I'll give you you simple answers to all 1. These are head to head category leagues, so whoever hits the most hr's, knocks in the most rbi's, has the best avg, k's, wins that specific category and you have the opportunity to be 10-0 or however many categories there are for that week. 2. It's really personal preference on how you draft. Most standard rankings are hitter heavy at the top so take that info how you will. Like everything it's about balance. 3. You can and should set your lineup daily.
Thanks very much! Looking forward to the season starting!

Would have been awesome to have known that the draft time had been moved to 1pm.....and why did "we" decide to do that 3 days before the date? ALL my players (with the exception of Kershaw) are available for trade

I think you sent the Brisbane to me. It's one of the only ones I've got so far. The second one I was able to arrange a pick up. The other 2 I haven't heard from either person yet. Thanks for sending that along!

still waiting for 1 payout, if its not in before the league would start I would be wary letting that manager back in. that being said i would be in again for sure
