Yes, I agree with you, McGruff10. To me, Black will always be their most iconic song. (and my favorite)"A beacon on dry land"0

Jeremy for sure. That video and radio air play got them established and still is the most known song. I think Alive and Even Flow are better songs. It's a hopeless situation...0

I think that´s the key, a song that is known by the general audience and despite whether they know the band or not. That narrows it down to two, may be three songs. For me, it`s Alive followed close by Even Flow.sandercock.erik said:Even non-fans would recognize Even Flow and Alive, so tough to argue with those obviously. I think Porch could be up there, Go and Breath too.. Just spitballing here haha

Alive would probably edge out Evenflow IMO.
Black, Jeremy & Betterman are up there, as are Daughter, and Elderly Woman.

i'd say Alive. Just to add a little controversy though (i love that), betterman might be one that gets the most radio play these days.0
-
I'd vote Alive but for me Black has the lyrics, beautiful melodics and intensity that makes Pearl Jam.0
-
There was a period of a few years when the only PJ song I'd catch on the radio (UK) was 'Last Kiss' and for some people I knew that was the song they associated the band with.
But, no, 'Alive' all day.0 -
Alive.
Although a lot of top 10 lists for PJ list Jeremy. I guess that song/video had the biggest impact. Although I think any casual music fan can mumble Eddie's vocals incoherently for Jeremy and Even Flow on tune.
