parakeet marimbas

colors go like what is heard
sometimes a sunny glow or turquoise breeze
maybe emerald in cloud silence but swaying peacefully
a summer's daydream caught its monarch
you could say a calmness comes over all

when laughter climbs across limbs
(slow crawling actually)
playing together after arriving at leaf some time ago
she would

her friends tell of carefree caterpillars on slow hills over
this where a musical kaleidoscope rolls
it is after-all where lady sky has her stairs across dreamland without inactivity
she is just there none the matter

one should lower their head & have a listen
tapping flame's dinner bell
a harp really
many instruments in sunlight felt her grow this way

our lunar eclipse
always silver stone-paths
silken pillows sit there
a reflecting pool glazes as endless

birdcages do not hang here
they have crashed open
gentle rains own dancers falling all the way down her
no umbrella covering eyes
inspired freedom sails & is undone
thirst's desire arrives new again & again
a secret drift going on out
our flesh bathing all in time
where order of those background stars dangle in her hair
& as seen from the countryside
lightning bugs & parakeets seem to have invaded her space

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
