TOTD Paramount shows - no bags and have to remove coats

Anyone been to the Paramount recently? Wondering about the removing coat notice, do we have to check coats or literally just have to remove them upon entry? I might actually rather freeze than deal with coat check lol.

For those that missed it, below was included in the email from the venue/promoter:

Please be advised that STG has increased safety procedures to include a NO BAG policy and a requirement that all patrons remove their coats upon entry. We apologize for any discomfort this may cause but feel that the overall safety of our patrons is the most important thing, therefore these measures have become standard practice. We advise that you plan accordingly and refrain from bringing bags, (purses of reasonable size are permitted), to the theatre and be prepared to remove your coat upon entry. Thank you!

    So I talked to venue security. They said no need to check coats, they will just search it. They also said my purse was ok, it's like 10"x10".
